Hunt's builds additional warehousing space to carry extra stock

Hunt's has opened a new 4,000 square foot warehouse at its head office in Ludbourne Road, Sherborne. The new warehouse can hold 336 pallets which has has significantly increase ambient storage space. With the new facility, Hunt's can increase their holding of non-food lines such as chemicals, packaging, and disposables.

The Hunt's frozen stock has always been supported by it’s two sites at Stalbridge and Hazelbury Bryan that can hold a combined 4000 pallets.


Throughout the pandemic, Hunt's increased its stock holding by around 50% due to issues with transport hauliers, products stuck at ports and suppliers struggling to keep up with demand. Purchasing Director Jason McGhee mentions “Our strategy has been to increase our stock holding to ensure we don’t let our customers down and service levels suffer. Investing back into the business in stock and warehousing space supports one of our core values of being trustworthy and dependable."
